According to multiple reports, New York is sending a 2027 sixth-round draft pick to Las Vegas and receiving Meredith along with a 2027 seventh-round pick.
For the Jets, the deal adds an experienced and versatile interior offensive lineman who has started 19 games for the Raiders over the past two seasons.
For Meredith, it means another abrupt change in an NFL career that began without his name ever being called in the draft.
Now, instead of potentially entering the season as a reserve in Las Vegas, the 28-year-old is headed across the country to join New York.
Why the Jets Made the Move
Depth across the offensive line becomes increasingly valuable once the NFL regular season begins.
